It’s season in South Florida, so our social calendars are bursting with events. Here are three events happening in our southern neighbors that could tempt you to cross county lines.
Longines Global Champions Tour
If you love Wellington polo for its lavish setting, lively atmosphere and prized horses, then you’ll love the Longines Global Champions Tour, which will take place on Miami’s seashore. The world’s premier show jumping series competition runs from April 3 through April 6, with the sparkling Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop.
For those of us who look to enjoy any sporting competition with a cocktail in hand or a light nibble, the GC Lounge and VIP section at this event includes unlimited wine, beer, and snacks, with the VIP option also including a full catered buffet and refreshing signature cocktails.
A few US riders you may recognize include Georgina Bloomberg (daughter of Michael Bloomberg), Jessica Springsteen (daughter of Bruce Springsteen) Laura Kraut, Edwina Tops-Alexander and Ashlee Bond.
This summer, the tour continues with stops in Mexico City, Cannes, Monaco, and London. To purchase tickets, visit gcglobalchampions.com.
Savor SoFLO Returns

The City of Hollywood’s premier culinary event is April 6 and 7. The 4th annual event will take place behind the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. Talented chefs will cook up delicious unlimited bites alongside famed wineries, breweries, and spirits pouring their best sips. Attendees can also look forward to cooking demonstrations by local and national chefs.
General admission is $105, and VIP tickets are $135. Purchase yours here.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local South Florida breast cancer nonprofit Glam-A-THON.
Orange Bowl Food & Wine Celebration

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will host this culinary event on Friday, April 12. Guests will enjoy unlimited bites from more than 40 local restaurants and samples from wineries, breweries and signature cocktails.
