If you ever needed convincing of the chokehold that Lilly Pulitzer has on Palm Beach, then ask the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa.
The hotel announced on Friday it transformed one of its suites into a Lilly Pulitzer haven, fitted with the brand’s new Dandy Lions print. By that evening, a guest had already requested to upgrade their room to the pop-up suite and checked in.
“Guests are excited to see the suite; we’re seeing such an uptick in our social media just from the little things we’ve posted in the last couple of days,” says Michelle Phillips, the director of marketing and brand for the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa. “Lilly Pulitzer is just so iconic in Palm Beach and I think there’s just a lot of buzz about Palm Beach right now in general, so it actually is perfect timing for everybody.”
Using designs from Pottery Barn’s collection with Lilly Pulitzer, the room is outfitted with fluff bedding, rattan mirrors, leopard-adorned pillows, shell lamps, colorful towels, watercolor glassware, and other items that are just so Lilly. Jonathan Adler did the original design for all the rooms in the hotel, creating a coastal base for the team. In the hotel gift shop, visitors can shop from dresses, shoes, bags, notebooks, mugs, and more.
Lilly Pulitizer’s whimsical frocks are the unofficial uniform of the island—as the story goes, she opened a fruit stand at Via Mizner and needed a colorful, busy dress to hide the juice stains. A legend was born, and this year, the iconic company is celebrating its 65th anniversary.
The brand’s juicy origins made for the perfect collaboration between between Lilly Pulitzer and Natalie’s Juice Company, and Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa hosted the poolside soiree for the two. From there, the hotel worked with the clothing brand to create a one-of-a-kind suite for fans.
Buzz around the island is at a high right now, with the Apple TV+ show “Palm Royale” airing its first episode in March, Lilly Pulitzer’s 65th anniversary collection, and in June, the Pink Retreat is celebrating its fifth anniversary.
“This collaboration between us and Lilly Pulitzer is just something that very organically works,” Phillips says, adding that their guest rooms “make you smile when you walk in, so I think [the collaboration] only helps to enhance that.”
The Lilly Pulitzer Suite at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa is available for booking through Sept. 8.
