With cooler weather ushering in the excitement of the South Florida Season, we’re entering the peak time for weddings—from beaches to ballrooms, and from gardens to estates. And Jenna Studio, the haute couture retailer that opened in Town Center mall this past spring, is ready for every nuptial occasion.
Mothers of the bride and groom have learned to trust both the expertise and the beautiful collection at Jenna Studio, run by owner/operator Andrea Karabatsos. (The clothier is named after Andrea’s mother, who opened her first made-to-measure shop in Montreal, Canada’s posh Westmount in 1985). Referred by her staff as the “dress whisperer,” Andrea channels 30 years of experience to ensure that—second only to the bride, perhaps—all of her clients look like the belle of the ball.

“We are a full-service destination shop that caters to high-end clients looking for that special, out-of-the-ordinary couture look,” she says. “We guide every client through the process to help find that perfect gown. Our secret to success is that we are able to make any gown in every color and size. We can lengthen, shorten and modify styles—all in a short time if necessary.”
This bespoke approach to dress design is especially important in the months leading up to weddings, when mothers of the bride and groom require specifics colors and styles to match a wedding’s theme or décor. Jenna Studio’s collection is made of silk and crepes, all boned and lined, and manufactured in Canada. The simplicity creates elegance and style. These days, Andrea says, blacks, reds and Champagne colors are on trend. “Most of my mothers all want coverage yet still want to look elegant and classic,” Andrea says. “PRESTO! We do all of that!”

The service at Jenna Studio is old school, and what Andrea describes as “the opposite of mainstream. From the second the client walks in, she is greeted. We ask the right questions, and from there she is whisked into the dressing room to begin her journey. There are no mirrors inside the rooms, so she must come out to enjoy the process. Her friends and family are seated, waiting anxiously … it’s so much fun!”
From the Boca Raton shop’s white French architectural mouldings and gorgeous gold chandelier to the cool electro music vibing from the speakers to the giant mirror in the center of the space, Jenna Studio is as welcoming as it is upscale. “We make sure our clients are extremely well taken care of and that every moment counts,” Andrea says. “My personality and style are reflected in everything, and my customer service remains unparalleled. I’ve had so many moms cry on the spot … from happiness.”
