AVDA’s 14th Annual Heart of a Woman Luncheon, presented by The Vegso Family Foundation, celebrates the strength, courage, and determination of women, particularly survivors of domestic violence. This lovely event raises funds to support AVDA’s critical and life-saving programs.
AVDA is thrilled to announce that we have an extraordinary speaker scheduled for the 14th Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Jackson Katz, Ph.D., is an educator, author, and global thought leader who is renowned for his pioneering scholarship and activism on issues of gender, race and violence. Dr. Katz will speak on the topic of ‘The Macho Paradox: Why Some Men Hurt Women & How All Men can Help’.
The event will feature Luxury Raffles, a Silent Auction during the Reception, and a Call to the Heart during the Luncheon.
