Moth Day

Moth Day at Long Key Nature Center! Long Key Nature Center is the only location in South Florida to join the fun of National Moth Week. Join us on Moth Day on July 28 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. with activities throughout the day.  Hear presentations by butterfly and moth experts, Dr. William Kern from the University of Florida/IFAS (2 p.m.) and Dr. Charlie Covell of the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and author of the Peterson Guide to Moths of Eastern North America (4 p.m.).  There will also be guided walks, educational booths, children’s activities, a pollinator plant sale and door prizes.  All activities are open to the public!
