At the tender age of sixteen Bette defies her family community and her Catholic faith by choosing to raise her son Will as a single teen mom.The boys father Andy disappears before Wills birth leaving Bette heartbroken and clinging to a fantasy of an ideal marriage and family with the headstrong Andy.
Now in middle age Bettes world is turned upside down when that fantasy becomes a very real possibility.Secrets are unearthed and her assumptions are challenged. Andy is not the man she thinks he is and neither is her son Will.
