CreativeMornings Palm Beach Chapter Selects Pride as Global Theme for August Discussion
About the speaker Maxx Fenning is the founder and Executive Director of PRISM, a youth-led nonprofit that works to expand access to LGBT-inclusive education and sexual health resources for young people in South Florida. In addition to his advocacy work, Maxx is active on TikTok, where he discusses hard-hitting topics on gender and sexuality, sexual health, mental health, and LGBT History, all in an effort to prove that safe sex is sexy. When the moment came for us to choose a theme, we were so proud of how much the creative community has grown here in Palm Beach County since we first gathered in 2017. At the same time, we recognized the national spotlight on Florida and the harmful policies affecting LGBTQ+ members of our community. August is our month and it is with great PRIDE that we meet this moment by recognizing the work being done to make sure everyone feels included not only in our Creative Mornings community, but in the beautiful state we call home. The Palm Beach chapter of CreativeMornings eagerly anticipates sharing the theme of PRIDE with our global community. Our community thrives on the importance and strength of embracing ones own pride, and the knowledge that thousands of CreativeMornings participants worldwide will engage in discussions about its significance fills us with immense excitement.
