Delray Beach Artist Mike Silverman is set to unveil his captivating solo exhibition, “Tech Soul: Art from Digital Detritus,” a collection that reimagines discarded technology as heartfelt artistic expression. This inaugural exhibition, featuring many works never before seen by the public, reveals the profound beauty and humanity found in the most unexpected of places: upcycled e-waste.
Each meticulously crafted piece is a testament to conscious creation, transforming forgotten technological components into deeply human works of art. Silverman’s innovative technique incorporates environmental interaction and reflections directly into the design, allowing the artwork’s appearance to shift and evolve with the observer’s perspective—a method developed specifically for these unique materials.
“Tech Soul is a journey into the heart of our technological era,” says artist Mike Silverman. “By giving new life to hard drive platters and motherboards, I’m not only highlighting the importance of sustainable practices, but I’m also asking us to examine our perceptions of intimacy, consciousness, and what it means to be human in a world shaped by technology.”
The show will include live music and light refreshments. Mike Silverman will be present to answer questions regarding intention, materials, and technique.
