Florida Atlantic University’s presidential search committee has chosen three finalists.

They are Michael Hartline, dean of the business school at Florida State University; Adam Hasner, a former Republican state legislator; John Volin, executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Maine. Hartline was a finalist in the first search, which the Board of Governors ended in late 2023 after alleging policy violations.

According to Piero Bussani, who chairs the board of trustees, the finalists will “conduct public forums on campus” before interviewing with the trustees. Bussani hopes that those forums can take place “the first week of February.”

I’ll have much more in my Tuesday post.
