The search for Fort Lauderdale’s next culinary concept is here. The Fired Up Competition starts tomorrow at Sistrunk Marketplace. Society 8 Hospitality is looking to our community and our talented chefs to come out and present their concept idea for a chance to win a vendor stall at the food hall, a mentorship and an award to help cover their startup costs.

Phase one of the competition is asking the public to vote on the concept they like the most. Voting ends today so make sure to vote here. Ideas range from Venezuelan street food to Middle Eastern home cooking to cream pies.

The top 20 finalists will then compete in three live rounds on May 17, May 24 and May 31 (7 p.m. at Sistrunk Marketplace). Local culinary experts will be judging them on taste, presentation and sales. The winner will be announced on June 2.
