Our hometown resort and club is having quite the year, first celebrating its centennial and now the announcement that it is the only property in the Americas to be awarded a quadruple five-star rating by Forbes Travel Guide.
Beach Club and Spa Palmera once again won their five-star ratings, and new to the rankings was Yacht Club and Flybridge. Tower hotel received a four-star award.
Worldwide, only seven properties were given quadruple five stars. The Forbes Travel Guide is a global rating system, with anonymous inspectors awarding stars to luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and cruises.
“This achievement underscores South Florida’s growing stature as a global destination for sophisticated travel and reflects how The Boca Raton delivers at the highest level across every dimension of hospitality as a place where families, couples, wellness seekers, and discerning travelers alike can find world-class experiences tailored to them,” Amanda Frasier, president of standards and ratings for Forbes Travel Guide, said in a press release.
In January, The Boca Raton kicked off 2026 with a two-day centennial celebration, with a Friday evening cocktail party followed by a Saturday gala with a private performance by John Legend. It harkens back to the opening day party back in 1926, when Addison Mizner welcomed dignitaries from around the world, rivaling “the social registers of two continents,” historian Donald Curl said. The resort has changed hands since then, most recently in 2019 when it was purchased by BDT & MSD Partners. It has since undergone a $375 million renovation.
“To receive this distinction during our centennial is especially meaningful,” Daniel Hostettler, president and CEO of The Boca Raton, said in a press release. “For 100 years, our Club and resort have helped define luxury hospitality, creating extraordinary experiences for generations of guests and members.”
