Sawgrass Mills can now claim the largest Forever 21 store in South Florida. After being closed for two months for renovations, the store’s June 1 grand opening signaled the beginning of a bigger and better Forever 21, now sprawling across 60,000 square feet of trendy, affordable clothing, swimwear, accessories, shoes and lingerie.
The enormous space, sandwiched in the mall’s new “Fashion Row” wing between the Colonnade Outlets and Bed Bath & Beyond, may seem overwhelming at first glance. But its savvy layout organizes each section by a distinct style or trend, making it easy to spot which room will suit a shopper’s individual taste. As Forever 21 global marketing director Linda Chang has said, “We have diligently worked to remodel the overall store layout and concepts to ensure a better shopping environment for all our customers.”
While the store is almost always bustling with customers, it is well-staffed, and dressing-room lines move quickly, making the shopping experience all the more enjoyable.
The space, which took over part of the children’s amusement center Wannado City, includes an expanded 21MEN section, home to the retailer’s men’s fashion line, as well as the women’s contemporary line, Love21. With clothing geared toward a variety of ages, body types and genders, Forever 21 offers something for everyone.
Fashion Row has brought additional retailers to Sawgrass Mills (12801 W. Sunrise Blvd., Sunrise, 954/838-9259), including Steve Madden’s first South Florida outlet, a Columbia Sportswear outlet, Volcom, DKNY Company Store, Maxstudio.com Outlet and Original Penguin. Stores already popular at the shopping destination, such as Caché, Miroa and Paradise Jewelry & Watches, have relocated to the Row as well.
