The eight community dancers who will light up the dance floor to raise funds for deserving scholars at this year’s Ballroom Battle have been announced.
Returning for its 19th year, the George Snow Scholarship Fund’s Ballroom Battle pairs eight community members with pros from Fred Astaire Dance Studios Boca Raton for a performance that will be honed over the next six months. During this time, the community dancers will be splitting their time between practice and fundraising, with the top fundraiser being awarded the Mirror Ball trophy at the Ballroom Battle. Funds raised will go toward helping hard-working students achieve their dreams of higher education.
Last year’s Ballroom Battle broke fundraising records, bringing in more than $1.7 million.
