With the good season (tourist) ending and the bad season (hurricane) beginning, it’s time for local restaurants to put the “eats” in “seats” with their annual Palm Beach Restaurant Week.
From Sunday, June 3, to Saturday, June 9, more than 50 of the area’s best restaurants will be serving three-course meals (with several choices for each course) for a bargain priced $20.12 at lunch and $30.12 at dinner.
Among the participating restaurants are Verdea (4350 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, 561/691-3130), which is featuring such goodies as sweet corn and potato chowder with tempura baccalao and bacon; Pangea Bistro (10140 Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington 561/793-9394), whose selections include wild mushroom tagliatelle with herbed mascarpone cheese; Deck 84 (840 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, 561/665-8484), dishing up ancho-honey-glazed swordfish with chorizo whipped potatoes and edamame succotash; and Kapow! (431 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, 561/347-7322), with their vanilla cheesecake springrolls.
