Get the new year off to a happy start by letting these restaurants do all the NYE work for you. . .
At Henry’s (16850 Jog Rd., Delray Beach, 561/638-1949), chef Ben Burger has come up with a lengthy a la carte menu for your New Year’s Eve celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m. Among the starters are shrimp flatbread with pistachio-basil pesto and lobster bisque with sherry cream, while entrees include pan-seared black grouper with lemon vinaigrette and veal cutlet Parmigiana. Prices range from $9 to $16 for apps and $22 to $34 for entrees.
For Mexican take on your NYE bash, Uncle Julio’s (449 Plaza Real, 561/300-3530) in Mizner Park is offering a three-course dinner for $79.99 for two. It begins with a guacamole and queso combo, then comes mesquite-grilled fajitas and a cold-water lobster tail, followed by mini cajeta with sopapillas. Two cocktails are also included, as are tea, coffee or soda, plus a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. on.
Also in Mizner Park, Tanzy (301 Plaza Real, 561/922-6699) is dishing up its own New Year’s Eve menu. The four-course meal goes for $69 per person before 7:30 p.m. and $79 per person after 7:30 p.m. A three-course wine flight costs an additional $25. The meal begins with an assortment of charcuterie, then a choice of salad, then entrees like lobster tail oreganata, osso buco and pan-seared branzino, closing out with a choice of desserts.
Stephane Lang-Willar’s modern French-American restaurant, Stephane’s (2006 NW Executive Center Circle, 561/893-8838), will be serving its regular menu on New Year’s Eve, plus a special a la carte menu created by executive chef John Belleme. There will be two seatings, the first from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the second from 8:30 to 10 p.m. And it’s a pretty good idea to call for reservations.
At Racks Downtown Eatery & Tavern (402 Plaza Real, 561/395-1662) in Boca they’ll be doing one seating only, at 9 p.m. The three-course, $110 prix fixe dinner offers an array of choices, from starters like Cajun fish tacos and oven-roasted artichoke to entrees like crab-crusted sea bass and shrimp campanelle to desserts like molten chocolate cake and Key lime pie. Complimentary glass of champagne at midnight too.
