If you couldn’t tell by all the campaign signs lining front yards around Palm Beach County, election season is underway. But when the elections are over, where should all those signs go? Turns out, there’s a right answer.

Campaign signs are made of materials that are non-recyclable by the county’s Solid Waste Authority (SWA), so they can’t just be tossed in a bin. Instead, the SWA has partnered with Resource Depot, Cemex and FPL to collect and recycle discarded signs from this election season. Now through Nov. 22, simply drop off your campaign signs at any one of the seven SWA Home Chemical & Recycling Centers throughout the county. The signs will then be transported to a NuCycle facility in Plant City, Florida, where they will be recycled into enviro-fuel cubes—a green alternative to coal.
