Local nonprofit HomeSafe is ringing in the new year on a high note with the return of its annual Classic Rock & Roll Party on Jan. 27. Hosted at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, the party is once again bringing together familiar faces from rock royalty to raise funds to support victims of child abuse and domestic violence throughout South Florida. A ticket to the Rock & Roll Party gets you a full-course dinner, open bar, silent auction entry, and live entertainment from some of the biggest names in rock n’ roll history.
Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain is hosting the event as well as performing with his Bad Company tribute band, Dodgy Enterprise. The evening will also feature a jam session with original Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke, Anthrax lead singer Joey Belladonna, former Twisted Sister drummer Joe Franco and former Judas Priest lead singer Tim “Ripper” Owens.
Rex Kirby and Kelly Smallridge will return as co-chairs alongside Larry and Gina Melby. HomeSafe will also be presenting its annual HomeSafe Hero award to Boca residents Bob Sheetz and Debbie Lindstrom for their dedication to the organization’s mission of protecting South Florida’s most vulnerable residents.
