I don’t know about you, but I’ll be happy to see 2011 get out of Dodge to make way for a new year. But whatever you want to celebrate, here are six places hosting New Year’s Eve bashes that will let you ring in 2012 in style.
Delray’s sleekly contemporary Buddha Sky Bar (217 E Atlantic Ave., 561/450-7557) offers seatings at 5, 7 and 9:30 p.m. At the first two seatings a five-course meal will be served for $75; for another $25 they’ll throw in an open bar. At 9:30 p.m. it’s a six-course meal for $125 and another 50 bucks for that open bar. There’s also a five-course dinner available at the Chef’s Table. That will set you back $175 per person, plus another $75 for all the booze you can use.
At Prime (110 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/865-5845) in Delray the swanky steak-seafood-sushi house will host a pair of NYE seatings. From 5 to 6 p.m. you’ll get a three-course dinner for $60 per person, then at 8 p.m. on it’s three courses for $80 per person, which includes a complimentary prosecco toast. Live music begins at 9 p.m.
Boca’s celeb hangout Philippe by Philippe Chow (200 E. Palmetto Park Rd., 561/393-4666) will be dishing up a $90 prix fixe dinner (including champagne). Among your dinner choices: lobster rolls with crispy seaweed or beef satay for starters and Beijing chicken or Maine lobster with ginger and garlic sauce for entrees.
Party like it’s South Beach at Spin Ultra Lounge (346 Plaza Real, 561/361-3999). The Mizner Park lounge-niteclub-restaurant will greet the new year with an open bar and passed munchies from 8 to 10 p.m. There’s a $50 cover, which after 10 p.m. goes to $40 for guys and $20 for girls. You can also book a VIP table that comes with complimentary champagne and party favors.
Let the good times roll at B.B. King’s (550 S. Rosemary, 561/420-8600) in CityPlace, where the B.B. King All Star band will rock the house all night. For $79.99 in advance and $99.99 on the day you get a reserved seat for a three-course meal, champagne toast and party favors, plus all the smokin’ hot blues you can handle. For $40 ($60 NYE) you get the champagne toast, music and limited bar seating or SRO.
For something a little more reserved, III Forks(4645 PGA Blvd, 561/630-3660) in Palm Beach Gardens has a special a la carte New Year’s Eve menu. Starters include shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque, and there’s the usual medley of USDA Prime steaks, with filet mignon with cold-water lobster tail the featured selection.
