The nonprofit Mentorship, Advocacy, Pandemic relief, and the Power of women (MAPP) is debuting its inaugural Restaurant Reset Conference at the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. The event, aimed at celebrating, empowering and helping women in the culinary and hospitality industries will take place on April 24-26.

A woman chef or restaurateur from nearly every state will be represented at this conference that includes a welcome reception at Burlock Coast and a food and wine extravaganza at Morea. Attendees can look forward to local chefs like Valerie Chang and Paula DaSilva, alongside speakers like Bravo Top Chef Lorena Garcia, World Central Kitchen’s chef Karla Hoyos and James Beard Foundation CEO Clare Reichenbach. The event is all about bringing peers together to cultivate relationships.

Founded in 2019 by Joannna James, “MAPP empowers women in hospitality to lead through mentorship, using a roadmap designed with the industry’s top programs, professionals and partners all working to close the inequality gap and build equity for women in food.”
