This Friday, the Junior League of Boca Raton is set to announce this year’s Woman Volunteer of the Year.
The Woman Volunteer of the Year has been named annually for 32 years by the Junior League, recognizing exceptional service to the community. The award celebrates volunteers for their work with local nonprofit organizations.
The award will be presented at a luncheon, which will be held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club this Friday, November 8th. The winner will be chosen from a preliminary list of 37 nominees.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with check-in and a runway raffle, and the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Following the luncheon, there will be an afterparty and a Sak’s pop-up shop beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Amy Kazma is the event’s honorary chair and Nicole Mugavero and Lisa Warren are the event co-chairs. Denise Elia, Shannon Moriarity and Jackie Reeves will serve as assistant chairs.
Jeannettee DeOrchis was last year’s winner, taking home the award for her volunteer work with Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse.

The Junior League of Boca Raton Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon will be held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, 501 E Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Tickets can be purchased here, and seats cost $150-$200.
