Famed confectionery and ice creamery Kilwins is celebrating the debut of its new Boca Raton location with a long weekend of festivities.

Originally founded in Petoskey, Mich. in 1947, Kilwins has since expanded to 28 states with more than 160 locations. The grand opening of the Park Place Mall location marks the brand’s first outpost in Boca Raton. To mark the occasion, Kilwins will host a slew of activities starting this Thursday, March 5, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Other Park Place restaurants will join Kilwins in providing tastings to guests. Then, all day March 6, guests can enjoy a fresh made waffle cone upgrade with any ice cream purchase. The festivities continue on March 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a meet-and-greet with the Kilwins Moose for kids, as well as face painting and $5 ice cream cups or cake cones. Join Kilwins all day March 8 for another Kilwins Moose meet-and-greet, chocolate, milkshake and chocolate-covered treat tastings, BOGO fudge slices, and more.

The Boca Raton location will be owned by Wayne Pyers and Ileana Moya, who bought the Lake Worth Beach Kilwins in 2021. Visitors to the Boca Raton Kilwins can watch as confectioners craft fudges, brittles, and kettle-cooked caramel in the open kitchen before indulging in a sweet treat.
