Sundy House (106 S. Swinton Ave., 561/272-5678) Delray Beach’s iconic boutique hotel and restaurant, has named former Top Chef finalist and Michelle Bernstein associate Lindsay Autry executive chef.
Autry, whose last restaurant position was top toque at Michelle Bernstein’s high-end eatery (now Malcolm’s) at the Omphoy Ocean Resort in Palm Beach, had been cooking at various pop-ups in the local area with another young, talented chef, Roy Villacrusis.
In hiring Autry, who is expected to release a new menu focusing on local, sustainable ingredients in about two weeks, Sundy House is definitely taking a step up the culinary ladder, not surprising given the ever-increasing quality and vibrancy of the Delray scene.
