This year’s Lynn Fashion Showcase set a new standard as the best event yet, with over 500 guests in attendance.

The annual showcase provides 300 Lynn University students with invaluable hands-on experience as they collaborate to organize a highly professional, state-of-the-art event that spans fashion, hospitality, photography, multimedia journalism, and film production. College of Business and Management Dean RT Good emphasized that “Experiential learning is at the heart of Lynn University, and this event brings that to life by giving students full ownership of a large-scale production.”

A true cross-college effort, the event was the result of months of hard work. No detail was overlooked, including the custom runway which made a bold statement with graffiti-style painted strokes. “The Lynn Fashion Showcase is a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and storytelling through design. This year’s custom runway and pillars, hand-illustrated by faculty and students, pay tribute to Boca Raton’s Centennial, blending history with artistic expression,” shared Cesar Santalo, dean of the College of Communication and Design.

Once again dedicated to a sustainable future and as part of the Boca Raton Centennial Celebrations, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Katrina Carter-Tellison highlighted in her speech how this event “honors our city’s rich history while looking forward to the future through sustainable fashion.”

The Showcase featured five highly acclaimed fashion designers, including this year’s curated designer, Michelle Farmer. Her namesake brand is best known for sophisticated, high-quality designs, with each collection crafted in the USA using sustainable fabrics. Amanda Perna, last year’s curated designer and a regular mentor to students through collaborations with the fashion department, returned to the runway, bringing joy and positivity. Perna’s collections are characterized by bold colors, vibrant prints, and maximalist styles, all while minimizing waste. Cuban-born Miami-based designer Alejandro Barzaga showcased a collection that focused on craftsmanship, technique, and structure. Mexican designer Paulina Luna showed off her garments that challenge the traditional views of femininity, while New York City-based designer Terry Singh did the same with his menswear line, pushing boundaries and embodying ideals of freedom, fluidity, and personal expression.

It might be a wrap for now, but the faculty and students at Lynn University are no doubt already brainstorming for next year’s Showcase, and we are very much looking forward to it.
