Step into the reception area of iShine Car Wash and Detail, and you’ll probably think you’re in the wrong place.

There’s free WiFi and barista-quality coffee (espresso, anyone?), rounded-back black leather seating and an amenity wall featuring items like ring pops, steering wheel covers and greeting cards.

iShine, located at 3801 N. Dixie Highway, is not your typical car wash, with a 110-foot long tunnel that takes your car through 15-16 steps of cleaning, coating and drying – all in around 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

It’s a family-owned business that focuses on top notch cleaning, service and customer care and the only car wash in Boca where you can get Vision Clear, which makes water slide off your car easily in droplets; RainX, which diminishes the appearance of streaks and spots; Simoniz Hot Wax, waxing done with a machine; and Double Bond, a protective coating formed from Teflon and reactive silicones. It’s what iShine calls the “Fab Four.”

Their exterior washes cost anywhere between $5 to $16, with promotions throughout the week. There’s Wacky Wednesday, Early Bird from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on weekdays and Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., also on weekdays.

During these time periods, the $5 car wash is available for $3. iShine takes note of your plate number every time you go through, and after 10 washes, you get one for free.

The exterior wash takes your car through a series of machines, each with a particular job like spurting out three types of soap or stripping your car of dirt to prep it for waxing.

If you love keeping your car clean, you can sign up for an unlimited monthly pass, which starts at $22.95. Upon purchase, you receive a decal much like a Sun Pass Mini, which can be scanned by employees at the entrance of the car wash.

They also offer hand waxing, interior cleaning, carpet shampoo, detailing, headlight restoration and a magic clay bar and wax, which eliminates all the impurities from a clear coat so the wax gets applied on the cleanest surface possible.

To give back to the community, iShine created a program called iCare, wherein organizations team up with the car wash to raise funds for their cause or event. The Lallier family, who owns iShine, came up with the idea after a family member passed away last year from breast cancer.

They wanted her to be a part of the business as well, and iCare is a tribute to her memory. Any organization can approach iShine to create a partnership, wherein a portion of proceeds from the wash goes to its cause.
