There’s a new steakhouse in town. Yes, a few have recently opened, but Meat Market is bringing Miami glitz and glamour to Boca alongside its famed steaks and chef-curated dishes. It debuted to the public yesterday, and we previewed it earlier in the week. So, is it worth the hype? You won’t be disappointed if you want a buzzy scene paired with a decadent meal.

While it’s true to its steakhouse DNA with plenty of steak cuts to choose from, chef Sean Brasel is famous for his daily special creations. You may be drawn to the filet, ribeye or tomahawk but make sure not to gloss over Brasel’s other inventive dishes. Must haves include the wagyu dumplings, gouda tater tots and the A5 wagyu king sushi roll. Yes, that’s right, this steakhouse has sushi on the menu. Other dishes that will change regularly to incorporate local in-season ingredients include the daily tiradito, sushi roll, salad and ceviche. Brasel looks to his guests for feedback on the daily specials, and when one is a hit, he transitions it to the regular menu.

Meat Market exterior patio

Even before you sit, take a moment to look around. The space is stunning. Its sleek aesthetic comes to life with warm woods, plush fabrics and brilliant finishes that invite you to stay a while. Let’s not forget the three private dining rooms, outdoor dining patio and WET by Meat Market, its poolside tiki bar and lounge area that’s open to the public. Think pool parties, live DJs and plenty of high energy to match the restaurant’s ambiance. Plus, weekend brunch and lunch will launch inside in the coming months.

“It’s always fun to bring a new vibe through the menu to a new area and have the customers experience that,” says Brasel. “They may eat something they’ve never tasted before, and it’s just exciting.”
