Boca Raton-based nonprofit Men Giving Back has announced the 25 local charities that will receive funding through the organization’s Golden Grants.

The selected nonprofits will receive their grants at Men Giving Back’s Golden Grants Evening on Nov. 6 at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club. The total amount expected to be donated this year is about $500,000, of which all nonprofits will get a share, with a lucky few receiving grants of up to $100,000. Winners will be selected during the Golden Ball drawing—think a Bingo cage where each golden ball has the name of a nonprofit.

Founded in 2020, Men Giving Back is a membership-based nonprofit wherein members each make donations which are dispersed to South Palm Beach County charities that focus on the areas of mental health, children, education, and food security. With so many organizations affecting change, the narrowing down process can be difficult.

“This has clearly been our toughest year as a selection committee to date,” says Dr. Nathan Nachlas, a founding member of Men Giving Back and head of its Grant Committee.

“We had over 120 organizations participate in the process, and we are so grateful to each one of them for the work they do in our community. The 25 selected semifinalists stand out with their proposed projects that promise to significantly impact the well-being of our community.”
