It’s the final countdown…to Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 13! This is one of the few mommy-mandatory days when us ladies can (attempt to) take a break from the day-to-day family grind and relax and enjoy.
Sign me up for it all—sleeping in, breakfast in bed, an uninterrupted shower, a boozy brunch. Bonus points if your partner (or children) are thoughtful enough to book you a nail appointment or massage later that afternoon. Because seriously…I can’t remember the last time I had that kind of time for self-care!
So it’s up to you, Boca dads, to make this happen. Remember: your day is in June and we plan to reciprocate your efforts. So plan accordingly.
Your first order of business? Brunch. With champagne.
I will always want to celebrate Mother’s Day at The Addison. They have endless activities to keep my child busy while I enjoy my fancy buffet, mimosas and bellinis in a stunning setting. I also wouldn’t mind the healthy but super tasty fare in Delray at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar. They do a fabulous weekend brunch!

Then it’s time for presents…
Wait a moment, you forgot to take the kids to buy a Mother’s Day gift? Not a problem because Kendra Scott in Mizner Park just launched these amazing new, yummy candles that I want in every scent. Stop by and grab one. Bonus? It will already be wrapped in a pretty yellow box! Kendra Scott at Mizner Park, 411 Plaza Real, Boca Raton; 561/430-2520
But in case the mom in your life would prefer a spa day…
A visit to Wafa Brow Art goes a long way. Don’t know her yet? She’s only the best brow artist in Boca. As for a Mother’s day facial or massage, we recommend booking an appointment sooner rather than later at Massage Heights Delray Place. It’s conveniently located in the same plaza as Harvest—brunch and a rub down sounds like heaven to me! Massage Heights Delray Place, 420 E. Linton Blvd. #804, Delray Beach; 561/749-9721
However you decide to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, just remember that you, Ms. Boca Mom, deserve the best! And during all of the other non-holiday days of the year, remind yourself that those kiddos that you brought into the world are really the best gift of all.
