This Thursday, Dec. 21, celebrate National Coquito Day with a sweet and creamy cocktail. But what is a coquito cocktail? Well, it’s a traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink made from coconut milk and spiced with rum. Coquito, which translates to little coconut in Spanish, is something Puerto Rican families make for the merry season, each family creating its own unique recipe and traditions to go along with it. Master blender Silvia Santiago designed the recipe below that you can try at home. Make sure you’re using her Don Q rum, a historic Puerto Rican brand with more than 100 years of rum-making experience.
