There are a bunch of new items on the desk at The Office (201 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/276-3600), local restaurateur David Manero’s eclectic Delray Beach gastropub.
First, by popular demand, the restaurant is now taking reservations for both lunch and dinner, an excellent idea for those of us who don’t feel like cooling our heels at the bar waiting for a table.
Second, there’s also now a Monday through Friday happy hour, from 3 to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to close. It’s only available at the indoor and outdoor bars, but it is a good deal – buy one, get one free drinks and a roster of bar munchies like deviled eggs, tater tots, potato chips with onion dip and chili-dusted steak fries, all for $6 each.
Third, fanciers of a fine stogie will sniff out a cigar menu featuring six different stix (though you can only puff away at the outdoor bar or at a table on the west-facing outdoor patio).
And finally, the regular menu has been bulked up a bit, with such new dishes as the Prime Boss Burger (made 26-day dry-aged Prime brisket), Murray’s Natural roasted half-chicken (with veg, molasses sweet potatoes and jus), and fancy fried green tomatoes (with spiced shrimp, cheddar cheese, scallion aioli and crispy Serrano ham bits).
