Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse

There’s a new steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale. Daniel’s took over the prominent South Federal Highway corner once home to Valentino Cucina and, most recently, Canyon Southwest Café. The upscale concept focuses on locally sourced Florida ingredients and flavors with dishes like the Swank Farms kale and hearts of palm salad, Florida burrata, Florida seafood ceviche, Arrowhead Ranch Florida beef tartare and Fort McCoy NY strip.

Kebab from Amar Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar

The beloved Atlantic Avenue bistro is expanding into its new space. Just steps away from Amar’s current home, the upgraded, glowed-up version of the Mediterranean concept debuts today. Located at the former Bar 25 space, Amar will now boast an expansive full bar and covered outdoor patio. Guest favorites like the hummus and kebabs will continue to be featured alongside new dishes. Owner Nicolas Kurban, with his daughter and son-in-law, will also be opening Gesto, an artisanal pizza shop, next year in Amar’s former space.

Nobu at Eau Palm Beach

Eau Palm Beach’s new owner made headlines when he purchased the beachfront resort just a few months ago. Subsequently, rumors began to spread that he’d bring the legendary Nobu brand to the property, similar to how he’d done at a few of his other hotels. Well, the gossip was correct. It opened in mid-October for the enjoyment of hotel guests but has since opened its reservations to the general public. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is known for bringing his take on Japanese-Peruvian cuisine to the masses when he opened his first location in 1994 in New York City. Today, the brand has an international collection of 54 restaurants.
