Renowned chef Jeremy Ford recently debuted his newest concept, Salt + Ash, in the Keys at Hawks Cay Resort. His PGA National Resort steakhouse, The Butcher’s Club, has become a favorite haunt for both visitors and locals, and now Ford has set his mind on conquering the Florida Keys. Salt + Ash is Ford’s first foray in the Keys and is part of the resort’s latest renovation.

Enjoy a leisurely three-hour drive south, and then treat yourself to a coastal-inspired meal that only Ford can deliver. After winning Top Chef, he opened Stubborn Seed, his Miami Beach restaurant that has received a Michelin star for three consecutive years. Now, he’s bringing his talent to the Keys. While farm-to-table concepts have surged in popularity, almost becoming cliché, Ford is genuinely sourcing ingredients directly from his farm in the Redlands. Standout dishes include the truffle jalapenos fritters, cacio e pepe fritters, crispy local snapper and steak frites. There’s also an impressive raw bar and wood-fired pizzas that shouldn’t be missed.
