The Palm Beach Zoo knows how to get you into the holiday spirit. Its restaurant, Latitude 26, has a seasonal fall menu that’s filled with savory dishes like indulgent butternut squash pasta and candied bacon mac and cheese, as well as nostalgic caramel apples. But its standout dish is the after-Thanksgiving sandwich, stacked high with thick-cut turkey, housemade stuffing, and a cranberry aioli.

For the holidays, its Zoo Lights event, which starts Saturday and runs through Jan. 5, is an illuminated wonderland of festive lights and interactive experiences like Santa photos and holiday cookie decorating. Purchase tickets here.

And for those adults looking for a unique date night, the zoo hosts adult nights on Dec. 5 and 12 where the grownups can roam free and enjoy festive cocktails and dinner.
