You’ve heard the phrase: “Stick a fork in them, they’re done,” right?

Well, you can stick three forks in downtown Boca’s III Forks, which has served its last forkful of designer beef, shutting down to make way for ultra-high-end Chinese restaurant Philippe Chow. Mid-August is the slated due date for the restaurant with the same name as its co-proprietor (with Stratis Morfogen, brother of 32 East chef-partner Nick Morfogen).

Expect a complete redo of the clubby ex-steakhouse space, also a menu that might stun into unconsciousness those diners who think Philippe Chow is just another suburban Chinese restaurant. Though reportedly prices will be lower than at PC’s South Beach location, where Maine lobster spring rolls go for $39 and entrees (which, admittedly, serve two to three) average around $60, you can bet that the chow at Philippe Chow will take a serious bite out of your wallet.
