Rack’s Fish House & Oyster Bar has officially closed its doors after 12 years in Downtown Delray Beach.

Founded by local restauranteur Gary Rack in 2013, Rack’s Fish House was inspired by classic New England seafood houses, serving up fresh shucked oysters, po’ boys, lobster rolls, crab cakes, and more. The restaurant announced Friday on social media that it would be hosting its final dinner service the following night. “Delray Beach, you’ve been our home, our family, and our inspiration. Tomorrow is our last day of service. Join us for one last meal and a toast to the memories.”

This morning, Rack’s posted a poignant goodbye to a community grateful for the years of memories and great food. “The last plate has been served, but the memories remain forever. Goodbyes are never easy, but we are leaving with hearts full of gratitude. Cheers to Delray Beach and every guest who became family along the way.”

Fans of Rack’s Fish House can still enjoy Gary Rack’s farm-to-table fare at Farmhouse Kitchen right next door.
