Truckin’ is more than just rock ‘n’ roll to SoFla restaurateur Gary Rack.

It’s Rack ‘n’ Roll, the name of his new food truck, which makes its debut at his North Miami restaurant in the Intracoastal Mall this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. (go to http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=115842115174035 for details)

And that’s not all. According to Rack’s spokeswoman, the truck will be making appearances at any and all local food truck rallies, as well as smaller events and catering gigs. Rack, btw, is also the owner of a pair of Boca restaurants, Table 42(399 SE Mizner Blvd., 561/826-2625) and Racks Downtown Eatery + Tavern (402 Plaza Real, 561/395-1662).

The truck’s menu of upscale street food includes sweet potato tots, fried calamari and chicken wings piccata, as well as a pair of burgers, organic meatballs with tomato gravy and chicken Milanese club sandwich. Prices range from $3 for the “Plain Jane” tots to $7 for the club sammie and a brisket burger with smoked prosciutto, provolone, egg and avocado.
