Probably the best thing you can say about Wednesdays is that they’re not Mondays. But the deals offered by a trio of local restaurants should give you some reason to cheer Hump Day, besides the fact there are only two more work days before the weekend.At West Palm’s burgerific Grease Burger Bar (213 Clematis, 561/651-1075) they’re offering beer and whiskey specials from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. to go along with live country music. That means you can slug down your 10-ounce Black ‘n’ Blue Burger with $3 Buds and Bud Lites and $4 Jack Daniels and Jack Honey cocktails. Can I get a “Yee-haw!”?
Down in Delray Beach, Prime Steak Seafood Sushi (110 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/865-5845) has introduced Summer Lobster Madness. Every Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m., gobble as much as you can eat of everyone’s favorite crustacean (well, up to three bugs, anyway), along with a side salad, fresh corn and potatoes, all for $35 per person. You do have to make reservations and, no, you can’t do take-out.
And if cheap whiskey and lobster don’t float your boat, how about half-price chicken and beef fajitas? That’s the deal at Cantina Laredo (4635 PGA Blvd., 561/622-1223) in Palm Beach Gardens, where from 5 p.m. on you can get the combination fajitas for two for $16.99, half of its normal $33.98 price tag. It’s not going to go one forever, so if it sounds to you like a real meal deal, better jump right on it.
