SAVE THE DATE: The presidential debate in October isn’t the only A-list event this fall in Boca Raton. Expect a who’s who of local business and philanthropy to join in the celebration Sept. 24 at Boca West Country Club as one of the community’s most treasured and benevolent icons—Henrietta, Countess de Hoernle—turns 100.
According to gala chair Isabelle Paul and vice-chair Alyce Erickson, some 700 dignitaries are expected, along with members of the Lynn Philharmonia, for a black-tie (or white-tie, military or Scottish equivalent) event presented by the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller Commandery of Florida. Individual tickets are $375 each.
To learn more about the Countess and her impact on our community, pick up the September/October issue of Boca Raton magazine. In the meantime, visit the official birthday website—www.countess100.org—for up-to-the-minute information on the event and background on the Countess’ lifetime of philanthropy.
