At Tanzy (301 Plaza Real, 561/922-6699), the sleek Mediterranean-esque eatery adjacent to the high-tech iPic Theatre in Mizner Park, they’ve rolled out a roster of $10 lunch items, plus a few other dishes to pique your palate. Among the offerings in the “$10 Club” are an antipasti platter of charcuterie, cheese and veggies in an Italian-style dressing; turkey panini with apple butter and brie; and gemelli pasta with sausage, braised escarole, tomato sauce and ricotta. Other not quite so cheap newbies are shrimp and crab Cobb salad, grilled mahi and filet mignon with roasted potatoes, asparagus and garlic-rosemary demi.
They’re offering a couple of good deals at Josef’s Table (5030 Champion Blvd., 561/353-2700) in Boca. Early-bird eaters can get a limited three-course dinner seven nights a week before 6 p.m. for a modest $27.95. Bump it up to $33.95 and you can choose three courses from the entire menu, seven days a week, all night long, which means choices like escargot or salmon tartare, cioppino or roasted duck, crème brulee or sweet potato bread pudding. Oh, and with any of these dinners, you also get a free drink: cocktail, wine, beer or soda.
And if lobster is what floats your gastronomic boat, Delray’s Prime Steak Seafood and Sushi (110 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/865-5845) is dishing succulent Maine lobster every Wednesday night as part of its Lobster Madness Wednesdays. It’s $39 per person, which includes not just one, but up to threecold-water crustaceans, plus side salad, corn and potatoes. Now you and your tapeworm can stuff yourselves silly. . . that’s what I call a real meal deal.
