I used to love Spring Break when I was a kid. It was always a nice, easy week to sleep in, veg out and typically take the first ceremonial dip in our pool of the season (we didn’t have a heater). My grandparents lived locally, so they would oftentimes take my sister and I on excursions to Butterfly World or the Swap Shop while my parents got some work done. They ran their own business, so had more flexibility than most moms and dads.

However, I know that not all parents have the luxury of taking the week of Spring Break off. So, this Boca mom wants to recommend some awesome camps—some new, some classic—in our area that can entertain and educate your Boca kids when school is out.

The Miami Dolphins are coming to Deerfield Beach

Copyright Miami DolphinsIt’s true! The Miami Dolphins are swimming north to offer local children ages 8 to 14 a “Junior Dolphins” Spring Break Camp experience. The Junior Dolphins program is designed to give kids access to learn the fundamentals of football using the NFL’s top resources. The program works to educate coaches, parents and youth on the health and safety of football with a strong emphasis on character development. We love it!
