“Boca-based attorney Pamela Higer-Polani and her network of dedicated volunteers have been working all year to ensure that the second annual Walk, which is supported by the Alzheimer’s Association, once again exceeds expectations. Last year, with only seven months to stage the inaugural event, Polani and her team stunned skeptics by drawing some 1,200 walkers and raising more than $125,000 for Alzheimer’s research and programs here in south county. This year, between Sunday’s event and associated fundraisers, the Walk hopes to approach $200,000.
