Sugar Factory is closing today, making room for a new restaurant, Beach Club.

According to a press release, Sugar Factory “has outgrown the current space” and will be moving to “a larger location in Delray Beach, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.”

Beach Club will be the third restaurant to occupy the space at 307 E. Atlantic Ave. in just a year; the company made an offer to Sugar Factory and will be opening in the spring. The announcement shared that guests can expect “craft cocktails, pizza, handmade pasta, and curated dishes that celebrate simplicity and flavor.” The restaurant will join the portfolio of Connecticut brands such as Fortina, Bar Rosina and Grigg St.

Sugar Factory opened on Atlantic Avenue after Lionfish abruptly closed in April 2024 after three years. Owner and real estate developer Craig Menin told the Sun Sentinel at the time, “It’s a very intense, full-time job running a restaurant and, frankly, I didn’t want to do it anymore. I wanted to go back to my roots.” Sugar Factory started taking brunch reservations about a month later.
