A month after Lionfish closed its doors, Sugar Factory is moving in and taking brunch reservations.

Renderings of the new location on Delray Beach’s Atlantic Ave were released Wednesday and the design takes a departure from the brand’s signature rubber ducky motif. Instead, it keeps the previous location’s chandeliers and blue-and-white tiling and adds a candy wall, disco balls, and cheeky signage.

As the restaurant is currently in the soft launch phase, not all the design elements have been added.

Sugar Factory has locations across the country, including five in Florida—Delray Beach joins Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and Miami Beach. Celeb endorsements include Kendall Jenner, Nick Cannon, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, and other big names. They also have their own cocktails named for them.

Lionfish, known for its sustainable seafood, closed abruptly in April. Owner Craig Menin, a real estate developer, told the Sun Sentinel, “It’s a very intense, full-time job running a restaurant and, frankly, I didn’t want to do it anymore. I wanted to go back to my roots.”

While Sugar Factory is known for its sweet goblet cocktails and sparkler-topped desserts, there are also entrees. Think burgers, hot honey chicken and waffles, oven-roasted clams, fried macaroni and cheese pops, rainbow sliders, roasted lobster tail, and smaller appetizers and shareable plates. The brunch menu includes over-the-top dishes like Fried Oreo Cheesecake Buttermilk Pancakes and Insane Iced Coffees. A dish to keep an eye out for: 24K Gold Burger, with the burger, fries and milkshake dusted in edible 24K gold leaf.

A grand opening date has not yet been set, but the restaurant is currently accepting reservations for a soft opening and brunch which will be available starting this Saturday. The restaurant has closing times of 10 or 11 p.m., which will be extended after the grand opening. Daily happy hour is 4 to 7 p.m.
