Fun, playful, happy, sweet and pink are the words that come to mind after visiting the newly opened Museum of Ice Cream in downtown Miami. Spanning 14,000 square feet, this multi-sensory experience is for everyone to enjoy. My kids loved it and so did I. It’s also a cool place for date nights, friend outings, and influencers will undoubtedly have a ball shooting content there.

Every nook and cranny is seriously Instagram-worthy and, being a permanent location, the founders of this concept were able to take the creativity to new heights. As Maryellis Bunn, co-founder and CEO of the Museum of Ice Cream, shares, “I was able to push the boundaries of design and interactivity, making this the creamiest, most colorful, and tastiest museum yet. You’ll see sensory elements from taste, touch and smell incorporated throughout.”

Right from the start, the Museum of Ice Cream tour guides set the tone with great energy. One exhibit flows into another and it’s truly surprise after surprise, not to mention treat after treat. Highlights include walking through a banana jungle, boarding a retro “Creamliner” reminiscent of a ’60s-inspired luxury airplane with a destination to “Frostyland,” and exploring “A Grand Hall of Freezers” with mysterious doors that open up to treats and other discoveries. Another delightful space is the “Fun House Carnival” inviting guests to play games. To top it all off, make sure to exit the most fabulous way by sliding down the double helix slide into the world famous sprinkle pool as an ode to the iconic Miami landmark, the Versace Mansion.

Although visit times are reserved in advance, once you’re in the Museum of Ice Cream, you can navigate through it at your own pace. All in all, this was well worth the Boca to Miami drive and during that time, I suggest you think about what would be your ice cream name? The Boca Scoop? I bet you never thought of that one, but channel your ice cream alter ego for a sprinkling good time.
