The owners of the former Sweet Greens Market in Pompano Beach have brought their “gourmet but affordable” concept to Palm Beach Gardens’ Midtown residential-commercial development.
Tim and Val McGowan are throwing a grand opening celebration of their newSweet Greens Market (4807 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, 561-624-0857) tomorrow and Sunday (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., respectively). The compact but well-stocked space features an array of upscale food items, from Sriracha sauce to pastas, along with a selection of artisan cheeses and wines, an extensive roster of produce (much of it organic), a seafood counter, coffee bar, deli and bakery.
There’s also barbecue-brisket, ribs, chicken and even turkey for Thanksgiving-all smoke-cooked low ‘n’ slow on-premises by Swingbellys of New York. I tasted the brisket, both lean and deliciously fatty cuts, and it’s pretty damn good. Convenient and plenty of parking too. . . not a bad combination.
