“A vendor recently came to my store and offered me one of his prized stones from his important collection; a six-carat D Flawless pear-shaped diamond. I admired it closely and then proceeded to pull out a whole set of matching pairs of D Flawless pear shapes ranging from three to 12-carats each that I had put aside to make several pairs of earrings. ‘I am extremely fortunate to have such items in my inventory,’ I commented. With the utmost respect and a bit of sarcasm in his voice, the vendor looked me straight in the eyes, chuckled and said, ‘Of course you do! Why wouldn’t you? You are David Rosenberg!”
