Living outdoors is a way of life during these sacred winter and early spring months in South Florida. Families, including my own, prioritize eating, exercising and (of course) shopping outdoors in open air plazas, parks and on the water as we know these precious days are numbered! We especially love to visit local markets and festivals that come to town during this peak time.
There are a few coming up—both east and west—that aim to take full advantage of Boca and Delray’s outdoor living season. They feature everything from yoga, a cheerleading competition, wellness activities and more! Here’s my guide to the best local festivals and markets coming up this spring.
West Boca Family Festival at South County Regional Park | March 17-19

West Boca Family Festival, also known as Boca Fam Fest, will be bringing families together for a fun-filled 3-day weekend over Palm Beach County Spring Break. Held in South County Regional Park, this festival is a first for the West Boca area and will be filled with stimulating activities, workshops, arts and crafts, education and health!
With fun options ranging from donut decorating, inflatables and silent discos, there’s something for all age groups to encourage family bonding. The weekend will also feature a cheerleading competition hosted by Netflix “Cheer” star Gabi Butler. Tickets are on sale now.

Coco Market at Veterans Park | March 5
CocoFest at BRiC | April 29

Every member of the family will find something they love at Coco Market, which is held in east Delray the first Sunday of each month. Get your mom friends together and head to Veterans Park and enjoy free yoga and wellness activities from 9:00-3:00 p.m.!
There are plenty of opportunities to engage with like-minded individuals and local small businesses. My family and I have personally attended several of the activities and workshops and sampled the retail goods. It’s a beautiful way to spend a Sunday, especially with the park’s water views. There are always plenty of things for the kids to do too! Coco Market is free to attend.
CocoFest was also recently announced by the organizers of Coco Market and Boca Raton Innovation Campus. Save the date, Saturday April 29th—more details will be revealed soon!
