Okay, here’s the long version.
Trevini, one of Palm Beach’s most popular Italian restaurants, vacated its Worth Avenue location in June and went looking for a new spot. The folks behind Cucini Dell Arte, Nick & Johnnie’s and more took over the old Trevini site for their recently opened Cha Cha’s pan-Latin tapas bar.
Trevini has just opened in their new home, the former Coco Palm Beach Asian eatery in the Island’s Bradley Park Hotel, which became vacant when Coco shut down just about the time Trevini was leaving Worth Avenue.
And because Coco Palm Beach was itself pretty popular and China Beach Bistro in West Palm had a hard time drawing enough customers with an awkward chef set up (two New York chef’s flitting back and forth between West Palm and the Apple), Coco chef Jeff Peng took his “Palm Asian” cuisine across the Intracoastal to China Beach Bistro, which changed its name to Coco China Beach Bistro.
Got that?
In any event, Trevini’s opened just last week, serving lunch and dinner in thetres elegant Bradley Park space. Though the location is new, the menu reprises all the Trevini’s standbys, from sole Francese to osso buco with risotto Milanese. There are also two prix fixe menus, a three-course lunch for $18 and a three-course dinner for $26.95.
As for Coco China Beach Bistro, the space stayed the same but the menu is all Peng’s, with classic Chinese dishes like shao mai, Peking duck and lotus chicken sharing space with Peng signatures like lychee prawns, curry trio (shrimp, beef and chicken) and mixed seafood with ginger-shallot sauce.
