Do you need your voice to carry out your job? Does your throat feel sore or tired? Do you sound raspy after using your voice all day? If so, than the Voice Program is for you! Davis Therapy Centers at Boca Raton Regional Hospital offers a unique program that is designed to help eliminate vocal strain, fatigue and hoarseness. Specially trained speech pathologists teach patients techniques to minimize strain on vocal cords and ways to help their voices remain durable throughout the day. Voice therapy includes vocal cord strengthening, education about healthy vocal habits, training for healthy voice projection and other techniques to help improve a patient’s voice condition.

The program targets professionals who rely on their voice; this includes singers, actors, public speakers, lawyers, clergy, teachers and coaches. The Voice Program also aims to help seniors who experience age-related difficulties with their voice. However, age and occupation are not the only determinants of voice-related disorders. Other heath concerns that may contribute include acid reflux disease, allergies, improper breath support and smoking.
