Juneteenth Celebration: Celebrating Freedom
Join St. Gregory’s Beloved Community Committee for a joyful Juneteenth Celebration: The National Commemoration of the Emancipation of Enslaved African Americans. Bring your family and friends for this special evening of worship, fellowship, live music, joyful celebration, good food, and community.
5 PM – Opening Ceremony in the Sanctuary, followed by a potluck dinner and fellowship in Harris Hall.
Bring your entire family and friends and celebrate with us! The opening ceremony in the Sanctuary will include festive live music from the Resurrection Steel Pan Orchestra, followed by family crafts, storytelling, poetry and praise, and good food in Harris Hall!
THIS IS A FREE COMMUNITY EVENT BUT CONTRIBUTIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
The Juneteenth Celebration includes a potluck dinner. We kindly ask that you bring a favorite dish to share (ethnic dishes are welcome)! Additionally, contributions to the Beloved Community fund are encouraged. Your contributions support this year’s Juneteenth Celebration as well as our ongoing efforts in promoting racial justice and healing, special events, and the Sacred Ground educational programs.
