“Canceled” might not be THE definitive word of 2020, but it’s certainly in the running. Event cancelations have continued to be felt, and sorely missed, into the fall, including our favorite Halloween gatherings: the Moonfest concert in West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach County’s three stellar haunted attractions: Enigma Haunt in Boca, and Fright Nights and X-Scream Haunted House in West Palm Beach.
But there are still frightful events commencing in the weeks leading up to Oct. 31, which cater to the intrepid socially distanced reveler. Here are a few of them around Boca Raton and points north.
Marilyn Egan, an expert on Delray’s haunted history, shares spooky stories from the city’s rich past. Dressed in witch’s garb with a lantern in hand, Egan reveals the creepy legends behind the Blue Anchor Pub, the Colony Hotel and more.

Pineapple Grove’s hip wine bar hosts a costume judging contest, with prizes of up to $100 in Wine | House | Social gift cards.
